Vaccine is not coming through the syringe since I last used it, what should I do?

Vaccine residue may have caused a blockage, we advise to flush your Kaycee syringe through with hot soapy water to clear any residual vaccine or dirt.

Check your syringe and ensure the valves and springs are not missing and have been re-fitted correctly. When dismantling your syringe we advise to work over a tray in order to prevent the loss of springs or valves.

I have cleaned my syringe but now it isn’t working, what should I do?

Check the valves and any syringe attachments for blockages, if they are clear then ensure the valves and valve springs have been re-fitted correctly.

How do I replace the rubber o-ring in my Kaycee syringe? Do you sell spares?

We recommend to use an o-ring removal tool, similar to a narrow screw driver. Fit a new o-ring and coat with paraffin or castor oil before replacing the brass piston. We sell new o-rings for all Kaycee syringes.

We are always happy to repair syringes and replace parts as necessary, we have had some syringes returned that are over 20 years old and we have been able to return them to the customer in full working order.

There is a wide range of Kaycee syringe models, how do I know which one suits my needs?

Can the Kaycee handheld syringes be autoclaved?

Yes, our syringes can be autoclaved although we advise to sterilise the rubber grip separately.

When dismantling your syringe we advise to work over a tray in order to prevent the loss of springs or valves. When reassembling ensure that the valves and springs are in the correction position, please refer to the instruction manual for a clear diagram.

If you have more than one Kaycee syringe do not interchange the pistons as they have been individually calibrated.
